Joint securitisation platform launched<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Austrian fair-finance Group and the German fund2seed have established a Luxembourg securitisation platform exclusively for sustainable investments and non-profit organisations.<\/p>\n

Many investors are familiar with the dilemma of wanting to invest sustainably while also needing to generate stable returns, all within the constraints of numerous regulatory and tax provisions. Many good ideas fail due to at least one of these factors.<\/p>\n

Securitisations, in particular, help to alleviate the burden of regulatory and tax provisions. From protection from commercial income to classification as a debt security and the option to invest tangible assets in custody, Luxembourg’s securitisations offer a variety of solutions.<\/p>\n

Since setting up the pension fund 12 years ago, the fair-finance Group has invested exclusively in sustainable projects and developed its own comprehensive sustainability criteria, which surpass those available elsewhere on the market. In collaboration with fund2seed, a new securitisation platform is being established as a joint venture in Luxembourg. The first step will be to make an existing portfolio of microfinance investments tradable via a regulated stock exchange. This will give many institutional investors access to this asset class. The issue is planned for the end of the first quarter of 2022.<\/p>\n

In addition to a focus on sustainability, what sets the platform apart from most other securitisation platforms in Luxembourg is that it has its own staff and the joint venture partners are directly involved. There are no nested structures, and maximum transparency is guaranteed.<\/p>\n

Other institutional initiators will also have the opportunity to develop their ideas and create sustainable investment structures on the bank-independent platform in the future.<\/p>\n
