Dr. Joerg Kukies combines international capital markets experience with several years of political responsibility. As the former Federal Minister of Finance, former State Secretary in the Chancellor’s Office and head of Goldman Sachs in Germany, he is familiar with both the market’s perspective and the mechanisms of government investment.
In his keynote speech, he will highlight the guiding principles of the new special fund for infrastructure and afterwards will join the drinks reception to engage in one-to-one conversations.

Lisa Sand is a Senior Manager in the Capital & Debt Advisory team at EY-Parthenon’s Eschborn office and develops bespoke financial solutions for medium sized companies in several sectors. One key focus is rating advisory, which ranges from internal rating guidelines and shadow ratings to the successful implementation of initial official ratings.
Thanks to her vast network of banks, debt funds, and rating agencies, she brings the right people to the table.

Dr Marcus Helios advises banks, insurances and asset managers on income tax matters; he has authored several specialist publications and is co-editor of the journal “Recht der Finanzinstrumente”.
During the discussion panel, he will present the tax perspective regarding infrastructure funds in Germany and highlight the opportunities and challenges for institutional investors.

In 2002, Mr Ulbrich founded his first investment boutique, embracing high-speed capitalism which was eventually halted in 2020 by the coronavirus lockdown. This gave him time to pause and reflect. He set out to positively contribute to society by acting with more environmental and social responsibility. That included his team, partners and customers – and also included setting a valiant example for competitors.
